Sheet Metal Doors, Panels & Covers
The flat and formed parts that close a machine: cabinet doors, access panels, blanking panels, cover plates, rear panels and lids — with hinge, gasket and lock interfaces built in so the panel closes and seals the way the drawing intends.
The Parts That Get Opened a Thousand Times
A door is judged in the second year, not on delivery day. If the hinge reinforcement is too thin the door drops. If the gasket channel is too shallow it leaks. If the latch point is not backed by a doubler the panel bows and the lock stops lining up.
We build doors and panels as complete assemblies rather than flat blanks: hinge pockets, reinforcement doublers, gasket channels, latch reinforcement and Earth-stud positions are all formed or fitted before coating, so nothing has to be reworked after paint.

Materials, Finishes & Customisation
Material choice
| Cold-rolled SPCC | 0.8-2.0 mm — standard doors and panels, best surface for painting |
| Galvanized SGCC / SECC | 0.8-2.0 mm — cut-edge corrosion protection for outdoor panels |
| Stainless SUS304 / 316L | 1.0-2.0 mm — hygienic, marine and washdown environments |
| Aluminum 5052 | 1.0-3.0 mm — light doors and panels where weight matters |
Finish options
| Powder coating | Any RAL, matched across door and frame for a consistent gap line |
| Brushing and polishing | Number 4 brushed or mirror finish for stainless doors |
| Anodizing | Clear or coloured anodized aluminum panels |
| Printing | Silk-screen or pad-printed labels, logos and warnings |
Assembly level
| Flat | Panels and hardware packed separately for local assembly |
| Part-built | Hinges and locks fitted, gasket supplied loose |
| Fully assembled | Door hung with gasket, lock and Earth stud fitted and checked |
How This Moves Through the Workshop
Door and panel drawings are reviewed for hinge reinforcement, gasket geometry and latch stud positions before cutting. Flat patterns are laser cut with hinge and lock cut-outs in the same program, panels are formed with return flanges and stiffeners, reinforcement doublers are welded or riveted in place, then parts are coated and hardware is fitted. Doors are trial-hung on a matching frame before packing, so the gap and gasket compression are already verified.
- Drawing review with DFM feedback before production release
- Fiber laser cutting of the complete flat pattern in one set-up
- CNC press-brake forming, welding and grinding
- Coating applied before gaskets, hardware and glass are fitted
- First-article and sample inspection recorded for each batch

Common Questions
Yes. Send a sample, or a set of dimensions with photographs, and we will reverse-engineer the part, issue a drawing for your approval and then manufacture to it. That approved drawing is what the parts are inspected against.
Both are possible. We can supply flat panels with loose hardware, fit hinges and locks before packing, or supply a door already hung on its frame with the gasket fitted and checked. Fitting in our workshop removes the trial-and-error assembly step at your end.
The door and its frame are formed from the same material batch and, when they are a pair, coated in the same pass. The gap is set by the hinge type rather than adjusted after paint, and doors above roughly 1200 mm get a formed stiffener so the leaf does not bow.
Formed gasket channels take EPDM or polyurethane gaskets, usually in a U-profile. The choice depends on the protection level and temperature range the enclosure has to hold. Channel depth is set at drawing review so compression is correct at the closed position.
