Steel Shelving, Workbenches & Storage Racking
Drawing-based steel shelving units, workbenches, tool cabinets, trolleys and storage racks — formed and welded to carry the load you specify, powder-coated in your colour, and supplied flat-packed for assembly at your site or in our workshop.
Storage Furniture Built Like an Enclosure
Shelving and workbenches look simple and fail in predictable ways: a shelf that sags under a load the drawing never accounted for, an upright that folds at the boltless connection, a bench top that flexes because the frame behind it is too light. The difference is not the finish, it is whether the section, the bracing and the connection were sized for what will actually be put on the unit.
We fabricate shelving, benches, cabinets and trolleys to your drawing and your load requirement, using the section and bracing the duty needs, and we deliver them flat-packed and labelled so they assemble quickly on site. Bought-in items such as castors, locks and drawer slides can be sourced to your specification or left to you — whichever you prefer is recorded on the quotation.

How This Product Moves Through the Workshop
Your shelving, bench or cabinet drawing is reviewed for load, span and connection type before cutting, because the section size and the joint decide whether the unit performs. Flat patterns are nested and laser cut, uprights and shelves are formed, frames are welded or prepared for boltless assembly, and every bay is checked for fit before coating. Parts move through pre-treatment and powder coating, then are labelled by unit and position and packed flat. Where an order covers many identical bays, one bench is assembled and checked first so the assembly detail is proven before the batch is packed.
- Drawing review with DFM feedback before production release
- Fiber laser cutting of the complete flat pattern in one set-up
- CNC press-brake forming, welding and grinding
- Coating applied before gaskets, hardware and glass are fitted
- First-article and sample inspection recorded for each batch

Common Questions About This Product
We fabricate the steel. Bought-in items such as castors, drawer slides, locks and plastic bins can be sourced to your specification and included in the quotation, or left to you if you already buy them. Which of the two you want is written on the quotation so there is no doubt at packing time.
State the load per shelf and the span between supports, or send a drawing that shows them, and we size the section and bracing to suit. Load capacity is a design input, not an afterthought, so tell us early and we will confirm in DFM review what section the duty needs.
Yes. Flat-packing is usually cheaper to freight and easier to store, but if you prefer to receive shelving bays or benches pre-built we can assemble them in our workshop. Tell us at enquiry stage and the quotation will state which assembly level you are buying.
Powder coating in any RAL colour over a pre-treatment stage, which is the normal finish for shelving and benches. For rack parts that stay indoors we can also leave pre-galvanized surfaces unpainted, and for food or wet areas we fabricate in stainless.
We are set up for repeat project orders rather than single retail units. Send us the unit type, the quantity and the load requirement and we will confirm the minimum quantity and the price for the batch size you have in mind — no minimum is assumed before you ask.
