Waterproof Junction Boxes & Terminal Enclosures

Sealed enclosures for wiring junctions, terminals and small equipment: gasket-sealed junction boxes, terminal enclosures, sensor housings and inspection boxes, built to your drawing with gland entries and corrosion protection for outdoor and wet environments.

Product Category

Small Enclosures Where the Seal Is Everything

A junction box has one job and it is unforgiving: keep water out and let nobody think about it again for ten years. The gasket channel depth, the cover screw pitch, the gland seating face and the coating on cut edges are what decide whether it does that job.

We manufacture the box, the gasket channel, the gland entry and the mounting provisions to your drawing, including cast-free folded and welded constructions where volumes do not justify a mould.

Production Route

How This Product Moves Through the Workshop

For a sealed box the gasket channel and screw positions are formed in the same operation that produces the box, so the seal path is continuous and repeatable. Cut edges are deburred and coated, gland faces are left flat for a proper seal, and the gasket is fitted only after coating. Sealed assemblies are then packed with protection for the gasket during transport.

  • Drawing review with DFM feedback before production release
  • Fiber laser cutting of the complete flat pattern in one set-up
  • CNC press-brake forming, welding and grinding
  • Coating applied before gaskets, hardware and glass are fitted
  • First-article and sample inspection recorded for each batch

FAQ

Common Questions About This Product

With a continuous gasket channel, a controlled screw pitch and sealed gland entries, sheet metal boxes commonly achieve IP65 and above when fully sealed. Where the box is large or needs ventilation, the achievable level is lower. Any formal verification test is carried out by you with your chosen laboratory.

Yes. Tell us the gland thread and cable sizes and we will cut the entries accordingly, leaving a flat seating face so the gland seals properly. Spare blanking plates can also be supplied for unused entries.

Stainless is the right choice where the box will be washed down regularly, exposed to salt or chemicals, or installed in food and pharmaceutical areas. For ordinary outdoor and industrial positions, galvanized steel with a good coating and sealed cut edges is usually sufficient and considerably cheaper.

Gaskets are normally fitted by us as part of the enclosure build. Glands, terminals and internal electrical components are usually supplied by you, though we can fit hardware you send us or source standard items on request.

Yes. Every size is built from the drawing, so there is no catalogue limit. For short runs a folded and welded construction avoids the tooling cost of a moulded enclosure while still giving a properly sealed result.
